Moving Checklist

· Give forwarding address to Post Office
· Change addresses on charge account, credit cards & subscriptions
· Notify friends & relatives
· Notify insurance company of address change
· Transfer utilities
· Empty freezer & plan for the use of food
· Defrost freezer & clean refrigerator. Place charcoal to dispel odors.
· Make arrangements for TV & cable
· Plan for special care needs for infants or pets
· Carry jewelry & important documents yourself
· Double check closets, drawers & shelves to make sure they are empty
· Leave old keys, garage door openers, landscaping or house plans with your Realtor for the new owner
· Have new address put on driver's license
· Register to vote
